What SCM reads from a Steam link, and what it does not keep.

Public link processing

SCM parses the public Steam URL you submit. It does not ask for a Steam login, password, trade URL, API key, or account session, and it rejects secret-bearing or account-action links.

Telemetry

Operational analytics contain only bounded route and outcome fields. Full submitted URLs, search text, profile identifiers, item names, query strings, IP-derived identity, and referral values are not analytics fields.

Storage and third parties

The browser uses no cookies, local storage, session storage, or advertising scripts. Pages are served through the Cloudflare proxy, which may inject the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon. SCM does not add other third-party analytics or ads. Opening a destination is a new request to that site under its own policy.
